Nice Foundation Thank you Madame Chair and distinguished delegates. I speak to you today as a human rights activist and a global data scientist. My name is [inaudible], and I am here today to speak and advocate on the rights of the minority people in Bangladesh. Madame Chair, since the change of government in August 2024 in Bangladesh, Islamic radicals have filled a [inaudible] power vacuum and preach hate and promise paradise for attacking minorities. This systematic campaign targets the cultural and social fabric of Bangladesh. They are silencing our [inaudible] and folk singers and threatening our Hindu neighbors. They act with impunity while the caretaking government only focuses on their political rivals. Madame Chair, the evidence is undeniable. Our Hindu community, vital to our social and economic life, is being driven out. Anti-Hindu violence surged from 302 to an astonishing 2,500 incidents in 2024. These calculated attacks dismantle our social mosaic. Madame Chair, our women, the backbone of our progress, are also under siege. Radical Islamic leaders hold mass rallies demanding that women must be kept at home and denied education. This is a deliberate assault on half of our population, aiming to destroy the equal contribution. This incitement is also spreading through digital platforms, so this is an information security and data problem as well. Your excellencies, I request that the Human Rights Council take immediate and long-term action, immediately appoint a special monitor focused on the post-2024 minority issue before the election in February 2026, and carry out a fact-finding mission [CUT OFF BY CHAIR].
