Iran Youth Foundation The Iranian [Inaudible] Youth Foundation as a nongovernmental organization respectfully draws the Council’s attention to the longstanding historical model of peaceful coexistence in the Islamic Republic of Iran. For millennia, owing to its unique geographical position and civilization, Iran has served as a vibrant mosaic of ethnic communities and homeland for diverse linguistic, religious, and cultural groups. The people of Iran have for centuries safeguarded the unity and territorial integrity of this ancient land, and the atmosphere of peace and mutual respect. History attests that in moments of national crisis, from historical invasions to the recent aggression by the occupying Israeli regime against the Iranian people, all of the Iranian community have stood together with unwavering solidarity to defend the country’s sovereignty. This deep-rooted cohesion extends far beyond the realm of national defence. Many of Iran’s most significant cultural, scientific, literary, and artistic achievements have emerged from the richness of its ethnic diversity. The poets, thinkers, and national figures of Iran are heirs to a civilization built collectively by all people of this land in all their [inaudible]. Madame Chair, at the time when many regions around the world can continue to confront the painful challenges of discrimination, racism, hate speech, and identity-based violence, Iran’s enduring model of peaceful coexistence offers a clear reminder that genuine dialogue, acceptance of the other, and respect for differences are the only foundational pathway to a lasting peace and stability. In this spirit, the Iranian [inaudible] Foundation calls upon the Human Rights Council to take a determined step toward fostering and institutionalizing global discourse rooted in peace, human rights, and the perspective of the young leaders, and independent volunteer-based civil society groups, such as [Inaudible] for safeguarding ethnic and cultural diversity throughout the world.
