Madame Chair, Distinguished participants. Iran, home to a civilization extending across millennia, has
always embodied a concept far broader than a conventional nation-state. This ancient land may
accurately be described as civilizational state whose identity has throughout history been shaped and
sustained by peaceful coexistence interaction and a profound tapestry of cultural, ethnic, linguistic
and religious pluralism. This rich diversity has been the cornerstone of Iran’s endurance through
countless historical transformations, embedded deep within this long and intricate history are
enduring principles, such as tolerance and mutual respect, peace, and acceptance of the other. These
values are inseparable from the fabric of Iranian culture. A distinguished testament to this legacy is

perform their religious ceremonies, to teach their sacred text, and to be represented in the

the other, Iran Youth Diplomacy Center contend that the world must embrace a universal vision of
peace, one grounded not in power but in the virtues of tolerance, and (cut off by chair due to time)
