The situation in Afghanistan The General Assembly, Recalling its resolution 67/16 of 27 November 2012 and all its previous relevant resolutions, Recalling also all relevant Security Council resolutions and statements by the President of the Council on the situation in Afghanistan, in particular resolutions 2096 (2013) of 19 March 2013 and 2120 (2013) of 10 October 2013, Reaffirming its strong commitment to the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and national unity of Afghanistan, and respecting its multicultural, multi-ethnic and historical heritage, Recalling the long-term commitment of the international community to Afghanistan with the aim of strengthening national ownership and leadership consistent with the Kabul process, and taking into account the evolving nature of the presence of the international community, Welcoming the conclusions of the International Afghanistan Conference on Afghanistan and the International Community: From Transition to the Transformation Decade, held in Bonn, Germany, on 5 December 2011, 1 in which it was declared that the process of transition, to be completed by the end of 2014, should be followed by a transformation decade (2015–2024) in which Afghanistan consolidates its sovereignty through strengthening a fully functioning, sustainable State in the service of its people, Welcoming also the Tokyo Declaration: Partnership for Self-Reliance in Afghanistan — From Transition to Transformation adopted at the Tokyo Conference on Afghanistan, held on 8 July 2012, 2 including the Tokyo Mutual Accountability _______________ 1 2 A/66/597-S/2011/762, annex.
