Minorities and stopping hatred against them through the media
Mrs. President, ladies and gentlemen,
Greetings,
I am Dr. Araz Muhammed Sarli from Turkmen Sahara, Golestan province of Iran
My lecture topic: "The need to stop spreading hate against minorities on social media."
As we know, these ads are broadcast on websites and satellite channels that rely on computer software
input and scientific planning.
In this regard, it is important to note that the number of social satellite channels is growing rapidly every
day.
This is a modern technology that is only accessible through a smart phone with an Internet connection
and has a quick spread.
We subscribe to and join numerous channels, following them at the same time.
However, these channels carry messages with multiple goals. As we all know, some of them have violent
implications, racial bias, and various forms of pressure on minorities.
These massive networks' creators and backers, in my opinion, have not taken immediate and significant
action to solve the issue, whether it's Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other apps.
In these incredibly challenging circumstances, we must work together to create computer programmes
that are effective and protective against these vast, intense attacks.
This will only be achieved with the participation of the major concerned companies dedicated to this
purpose.
We also need academic specialists’ efforts and state protection to mitigate the aggressive campaigns
and produce beneficial programmes for minorities with their various classes and affiliations.
Thank you for your kind follow-up.
