Madame Chair. I congratulate you on your appointment and wish you every success in guiding the
works of the Forum. I also thank the panelists for their comprehensive presentations. The OIC
delegation is fully concerned with the assessment that the building of inclusive societies and the
creation of the conducive environment where all individuals without distinction can fully participate.
Their contributions and the shared benefit of their success is essential for fostering peace, stability,
and development for all. Diversity should be seen as a source of enrichment, rather than a threat. The
Organization of Islamic Cooperation is following with great concern the growing intolerance and
discrimination against Muslims in several countries all around the world. The rising wave of
Islamophobia, hate speech, and hate crimes have led to political, economic, and social marginalization
of Muslims. At the same time, insults against Islam have become [inaudible] and often condemned by
populist and far-right politicians. These reprehensible acts undermine social cohesion and go against
core values that are common to all human cultures and civilizations. The OIC is committed to assisting
Muslim communities and minorities in non-member states to preserve their dignity, cultural and
religious identity, and work in coordination with the governments [CUT OFF BY CHAIR].
