Mr. President and Gentlemen, wish you a Good day
I am a journalist and minority rights activist from Yazidis people in Iraq. I spoke to you a year
ago, as well as two years ago, but unfortunately the call of my people has not been answered
and 70 percent still in the camps.
The children and women prisoners by "Daesh" are still unaccounted for and were not found
during the liberation of Mosul, this is what causes us to worry we may lose them completely
after two and a half years. Not to mention the transformation of our liberated areas into ruins
and into an arena of political conflicts aimed at our identity and change our culture
I would like to ask you, Mr. President, and the representatives of the States, why do not these
meetings affect our reality?
I am addressing you and I realize that the Yazidis crisis is not the only one in the world, but the
ugliest fact that "Daesh" Organization has targeted the existence of the Yezidi component. And
Daesh is not the only responsible for our annihilation. But the Kurdish Peshmerga forces bore
the brunt of responsibility when they prevent Yazidis from leaving Sinjar weeks before the
genocide. On August 3, 2014, they did not fight "Daesh" and withdrew in large numbers without
warning. And your countries also bear responsibility, hundreds of European nationality, Asian
and American citizens Joined Daesh and participated in the killing and sale of Yazidis
So it is your responsibility to support Yazidi's demand to investigate crimes and to bring the
perpetrators to justice, to provide justice to the victims and to provide a safe area for their
future safety.
A few minutes ago you heard Farhad's 14-year-old testimony. He and 65 members of his clan
were kidnapped. His mother and sisters were sold in front of his eyes and today he is waiting
for two sisters. His mother was enslaved and she was forced to serve families of "Daesh" as a
slave
His testimony was not well understood because he learned the Arabic language in camps of
"Daesh" in Syria. He and hundreds of Yazidi children aged 7 and 8 were forced to learn Islamic
law, watch headscarves, swallow Pills , carry weapons and duel his brother
In front of his eyes, the hands and fingers of some of the children were disobeyed for
disobedience, and some of them were deprived of food for a whole day, and children who were
learning slowly were punished, kicking their bellies and walking above their backs. We have
information that out of 911 a Yazidi kid who were kidnapped by Daesh, at least 200 Yezidi
children have been brain washed. In July of this year, they entered the stage of learning to drive
cars to carry out suicide missions.
