Association lutte contre la violence faite aux femmes Thank you, Madame Chair. My name is Ariadne Nines. I speak on behalf of the Catalan National Assembly, and as a friend of the Tamil Women of Sri Lanka who could not use this slot. Amplifying minority voices is essential to prevent conflicts rooted in the denial of collective rights. When democratic dialogue is replaced by repression, trust erodes and peaceful coexistence becomes fragile. Today, I call on UN member states to: 1) Promote the right of minority people to self-determination and self-identification; 2) Support a legally binding international instrument on minority rights; 3) Guarantee freedom of expression and political participation, ending the criminalization of peaceful activism; 4) Combat hate speech and algorithmic bias that undermine minority voices; 5) And finally, but not least, organize a world summit of minorities aimed at amplifying minority voices and protecting world languages and cultures. Peace requires not only the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice. Strengthening minority voices is essential for building truly diverse and peaceful societies. Thank you very much.
