be taken to protect children from economic exploitation and to provide for
appropriate sanctions. The Committee recommends, in particular, that action
be taken to ensure that the girls working in the "maquilas" are not exploited
and abused. Moreover, the Committee suggests that the State party consider
the possibility of adopting adequate measures to implement ILO Convention
No. 169 concerning Indigenous and Tribal Peoples in Independent Countries.

Finally, the Committee would like to propose that consideration be given
to publicizing and widely disseminating within the country the initial report
and additional information submitted by the State party to the Committee as
well as the summary records and concluding observations emerging from the
discussion of the report of Honduras in the Committee.
