conventions and declarations, with special emphasis on the
issue of minority effective political participation in each State
party and/or signatory to the Human Rights Conventions.
This report should serve as document of reference for the
work of the Human Right Council and the Report of the
General Secretary of the United Nations, presented before the
General Assembly meeting.

Given the upcoming World Population Census in 2010, to
promote the inclusion of adequate questionnaires in order to
have an accurate, scientific and systematic information on the
number and location of minority population as a valuable
instrument to asses public policies oriented for them to
achieve effective political participation, as voters and as
candidates, as well as for the establishment of affirmative
actions with the intention to promote minorities integration
at all political levels.

To strengthen civil society organization as well as the work of
the NGOs in the promotion of effective political participation
of minority population by means of providing funding and
technical assessment; promoting international networking and
exchange
of
experience
concerning
minority
political
participation in those places where they suffer discrimination,
exclusion and prejudice cultural biases.
