Yezidish Cultureel Centrum in Nederland Thank you very much, Mr. President. I speak to you today representing the voice of many Kurdish and Yazidis in Syria. The United Nations has reported many times about the problem they face due to long-term marginalization of the Kurdish and to the genocides committed against the Yazidis by ISIS. Based on this, we ask these councils to: protect the cultural, political, and social rights of Kurdish and Yazidis as part of human rights; support civil efforts in northern and eastern Syria that work for equality and coexistence; stop hate speech and resistance that creates societal [inaudible]. Despite many challenges, communities in northern and eastern Syria have built systems based on equality and respect for diversity. Kurdish women played an important role in supporting these systems. But today, these efforts face political and security threats. We do not plan any win. Our goal is to support [inaudible] stability and security in these regions.
