Dr. Hanna Vasilevich is a senior researcher at EURAC Research, Institute for Minority Issues,
Bolzano/Bozen, Italy, where her current research focuses on securitizing national minorities,
particularly in Latvia, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Previously, she served as Board Chair at the
International Centre for Ethnic and Linguistic Diversity Studies in Prague, concentrating on
language, ethnicity, and power among national minorities. She has held Visiting Research Fellow
positions at Queen’s University Belfast, UK, and the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology
in Germany, and worked at the European Center for Minority Issues in Flensburg, Germany. Her
research covers state ideology, identity formation, minority rights, diaspora relations, and equality
issues.
