PM of Kazakhstan Thank you Madame Chair. Kazakhstan welcomes the participants of this Forum. We thank the panelists for their valuable contribution to the protection of minority rights. In the context of the topic of discussion, we would like to share Kazakhstan’s successful experience in ensuring the rights of representatives of more than 100 ethnic groups and 18 confessions living in our country. There are 1,000 ethno-cultural associations and their branches operating in the country, and 52 ethnic media outlets in 15 languages are registered. The Constitution of Kazakhstan guarantees equal rights to citizens regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or membership in social groups and public associations. The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, which was established in 1995, and has been operating successfully to this day, plays a crucial role in shaping the unique model all Kazakhstani unity. The main task of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is to implement state policy, ensure social and political stability, and to improve the effectiveness of interaction between state and civil society institutions in the field of inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations. The Assembly has proven itself to be an effective mechanism for addressing the needs and concerns of various communities, ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
