Concluding observations: Cambodia

The Committee considered the combined second and third periodic report of
Cambodia (CRC/C/KHM/2-3) at its 1620th and 1621st meetings (see CRC/C/SR.1620 and
1621), held on 3 June 2011 and adopted, at its 1639th meeting (see CRC/C/SR.1639), held
on 17 June 2011, the following concluding observations.
I. Introduction

The Committee welcomes the submission of the combined second and third report
as well as the written replies to its list of issues (CRC/C/KHM/Q/2/Add.1). The Committee
also welcomes the positive dialogue with a high-level and multisectoral delegation, which
allowed for a better understanding of the situation of children in the State party.
II. Follow-up measures and progress achieved by the State party

The Committee notes with appreciation the adoption of:
(a)
The Law on Inter-Country Adoption, in December 2009;
(b)
The Law on Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Persons with
Disabilities, in July 2009;
(c)
The Law on Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation, in
February 2008;
(d)
The Law on Education, in December 2007;
(e)
The Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Protection of the
Victims, in October 2005;
(f)
April 2010.
