The Committee considered the fourth periodic report of Bolivia (CRC/C/BOL/4) at its 1430th and 1431st meetings (CRC/C/SR.1430 and 1431), held on 17 September 2009, and adopted, at the 1452nd meeting, held on 2 October 2009, the following concluding observations. A. Introduction 2. The Committee welcomes the submission of the fourth periodic report as well as the written replies to its list of issues (CRC/C/BOL/Q/4/Add.1) which gave a better understanding of the situation of children in the State party. It also appreciates the presence of a high-level delegation and the frank and open dialogue with the delegation. B. Follow-up measures undertaken and progress achieved by the State Party 3. The Committee welcomes a number of positive developments in the reporting period, including the adoption of legislative and other measures taken with a view to implementing the Convention, such as: (a) GE.09-45532 The adoption of the new Constitution in 2009, which includes a chapter on child rights;
