Thank you Madam, we would require effective participation in political and economic development. This includes prior informed consent on policies that affect minorities. Minorities must be involved at all levels of decision making to guarantee full participation. The Khmer of Kampuchea, from south Vietnam, should be provided with information in Kver or Pagod language. On matters relating to development which effects the ways of lifeand modes of subsistence and livelihoods of our peoples. Minorities should get a share of income from rice plantations, mineral resources, oil exploitation, gas, tourism, etc in the region. Seasonal workers in cities and abroad need their social support network and health service in langauge, housing, pre-school childcare, education for children of seasonal workers to reduce the school drop-out rate.
