The purpose of the visit was to understand, in a spirit of cooperation and constructive dialogue, how the Government endeavours to implement cultural rights and identify good practices in, and possible obstacles to, the promotion and protection of cultural rights in the Federated States of Micronesia. The Special Rapporteur addressed several key issues related to the right of all, on an equal footing, to access and take part in heritage and in cultural life, and to meaningfully take part in the decision-making processes that have an impact on their cultural rights, including conservation policies and sustainable and cultural development policies. * The present report was submitted to the conference services for processing after the deadline so as to include the most recent information. ** The summary of the report is being circulated in all official languages.
