In the report, the Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights, Alexandra Xanthaki, addresses the right to participate in sports as an important element of the right to participate in cultural life, and draws attention to the obstacles to the realization of that right. She clarifies the obligations of States and the responsibilities of sporting associations regarding the right, and highlights positive and concrete examples of inclusive access to and participation in sports. 2/24 24-14354
