A/HRC/61/33 discrimination and minority protection, OHCHR works to safeguard the rights of national, ethnic, linguistic and religious minorities. This includes tackling multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination and integrating minority rights across all United Nations pillars and activities. OHCHR also continues to foster minority participation through its flagship Minorities Fellowship Programme. United Nations human rights bodies and mechanisms also play a vital role in advancing the rights of minorities.
