Mr. Chairman of the Forum, distinguished attendees, Dr. Wagih Raouf is speaking to you in my capacity as Executive Director of the European Copts Assosiation in Austria. I am speaking to you today directly and in brief, to determine the causes of all the crises in the Middle East region and the crises that the West suffers from the presence of those residing there and those coming from Islamic countries. The truth is that the problems of the Middle East, especially the problem of the Palestinians with the Jews and the suffering of Christians in the Middle East and all Arab countries, are confined to political Islam, which carries within it all meanings of hostility to everyone who does not hold the Islamic religion. The West’s also suffering from terrorism as a result from the spread of political Islam. Some Western countries have previously helped spread the teachings of political Islam, and today they are paying the price. In order to define the problem and develop ways to treat it, we must determine its source. The source of this terrorism is the teachings of political Islam which take place at Al-Azhar University in Egypt and in their branches in other countries.
