общества, и продвижение гражданской идентичности.
Возобновить использование позитивных мер в отношении мало
представленных групп, в особенности ромов в сфере получения
профессионально-технического и высшего образования.
Внести поправки в Кодекс об образовании, принятого в 2014
году, положения которого снизили стандарты защиты родных
языков.
Принятие рамочного закона о функционировании языков в
Республике Молдова в соответствии с международными
нормами языковых прав.

Thank you Chair!
My name is Elena Kuyzhuklu and I represent the Youth Platform for
Interethnic Solidarity, which brings together youth from ethnic, linguistic, and
religious minorities in Moldova.
We are grateful to the OHCHR in Moldova for the fact that minority
youth have the opportunity today to share their views and recommendations
on issues related to education for minorities.
I would like to highlight some problems in the field of education and the
rights of minorities. One such problem is the low level of knowledge of the
state language by minorities due to the lack of the necessary linguistic
environment, especially in areas where minorities are highly concentrated.
Another problem is the formation of negative stereotypes about minorities.
In addition, the linguistic rights of minorities must be strengthened in
legislative acts on education and the use of languages.
It should be noted that there have been positive experiences in the
teaching of children in two languages in pre-school education. This should
be developed, and affirmative measures that were previously used to
increase the access of minority youth to higher education in Moldova should
be continued.
