2. States shall not carry out, adopt, support, or favor any policy of assimilation of indigenous peoples or of destruction of their cultures. ▼Article XI. Protection against genocide Indigenous peoples have the right not to be the object of any form of genocide or attempts to exterminate them. ▼Article XII. Guarantees against racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance Indigenous peoples have the right not to be the object of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, or related intolerance.
