III. Protection of the existence of and prevention of violence against religious
minorities

Thank you very much for giving me the floor, I come from the South of Russia (…) We have witnessed
a trend which the prosecution of people from the north Caucasus, specifically Muslims. They are
considered to be potential criminals and the Muslims are subjected of special (…) the provision of
religious literature, the pretext being that this shows extremist tendencies in particular the translation of
Coran from Arabic to Russian was prohibited saying that this is extremist literature and this threatens the
security of the country.
In a number of countries there is the prohibition of building mosques, there are only four mosques in
Moscow, where there are four million inhabitants, the representatives of majority religious protests the
construction of mosques because they say: mosques today, Jihad tomorrow.
Also, the legislation, we see that there is pressure brought to bear on witnesses, we are seeing
arbitrariness being strength in the judicial system in Russia to a great extent ignores by the legislation.
The issues of human rights are not threatened according to the Russian judicial system. The adoption of
a law according to which NGO which receives financial from outside from foreign a foreign agent has
extremely deleterious consequences on those NGOs. Specific measures must be taken to improve the
image of education of the minority religious, teaching of minority religion, article 27 of the covenant on
civil and religious rights provides with the importance of places with the culture, the antiterrorist law with
Russia, based according (…)
