It’s not surprising that Azerbaijan addressed a question to my delegation, while… I’m not going to bore you now or take the time of the audience with all the historical circumstances under which hundred of thousands of Armenians left Azerbaijan as a result of ethnic cleansing, slaughters, and massacres. They are very well documented. There was a prosperous Armenian community living in Baku for centuries. There is no trace of them. Armenian places of worship have been destroyed or turned into shops and restaurants. As to Azerbaijanis that used to live in Armenia, they left in the 80’s in peace. There were no single cases of murder or prosecution as it was the case in Azerbaijan. As to other ethnic minorities who reside in Azerbaijan, I think that the record speaks for itself, I already mentioned several cases of [statement interrupted by the Chair].
