Permanent mission Ecuador on Item VI Yes, madam I am right here. Good morning. For Ecuador it is a [massive] pleasure to be here at the mission I am representative of minister Ocles. Ecuador has an experience of going through a moment of change and transition in building a new model of state as mentioned in the constitution of 2008 but also to consolidate a new society which is inclusive, inter-cultural, fair, and absolutely diverse. Our constitution in the country is such of the subject of study and observation because we put forward advanced proposals that help us to consolidate equity, solidarity, plural nationality and inter-culturally as basic mandates of wholesome living. In the sense we know clearly to be able to emerge from the obsolete system rooted in the old state system means breaking with the approaches, which have historically been those that have caused the exclusion and marginalisation of certain sectors. Marginalised and discriminated we are talking about indigenous peoples and Afro-descendant peoples in the sense it is important to talk about a principle of life and change which is present today in Ecuador, which is a source of and reason of public policies and planning of the state as the world know of […] or wholesome living.
