M. Zidane LAFDAL Les Amis de la Kabylie Movement for the Self-Determination of Kabylia Geneva, 02 December 2021 United Nations Forum on Minority Issues Subject : Cry of distress from Kabylia and urgent demand for the protection of the people of Kabylia The protection of peoples without a State is, in the case of the Kabyle people, an absolute urgency and we call on the Security Council to examine this issue as soon as possible. Thousands of grieving families await a salutary gesture from international bodies. Only putting Kabylia under UN protection can stop the genocide that began last June. Algeria is executing an "Operation Zero Kabyles" consisting of the physical liquidation of no less than seven million people. More than three thousand citizens have already been murdered by fire and by COVID. More than three hundred Kabyle cadres are imprisoned and tortured, some of them raped in detention. Those who are in the process of being subjected to terrorism by the Algerian colonial state have been unjustly accused of terrorism. The Algerian regime commits crimes against humanity in Kabylia with complete impunity. It is time for the international community to intervene, bring the Algerian regime before the INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT, and to deliberate on sanctions commensurate with the crimes against humanity committed in Kabylia. This is a cry of distress that we are launching from this tribunal to curb the anti-Kabyle racist madness that has gripped the Algerian military. The Kabyle Provisional Government in Exile joins its voice to ours to demand in the face of humanity the right of Kabylia to self-determination. Hoping for the high benevolence of the UN, please receive our gratitude and consideration for your work. Zidane LAFDAL Militant for the self-determination of Kabylia
