States should combat discrimination against minority women and girls in education with a particular emphasis on and steps addressing the specific gender dimension of the effect of such discrimination on minority women and girls. 56. Where possible, States should consider designing a national strategy that includes the empowerment of minority women and girls, inter alia, through education in, and the teaching of, their own languages. 57.
