In the report, the Special Rapporteur welcomes the fact that the Government of Brazil has recognized that racism is a systemic phenomenon and has institutionalized efforts to prevent and address racial discrimination. She emphasizes, however, that it was very evident during her visit that people of African descent, Indigenous Peoples, Quilombola communities, Roma people and those from other marginalized racial and ethnic groups, including those who face intersectional discrimination, continue to experience multifaceted, deeply interconnected and pervasive manifestations of systemic racism. In her report, the Special Rapporteur makes a series of recommendations about how the Government of Brazil can build upon and expand efforts to address racial discrimination. * The summary of the report is being circulated in all official languages. The report itself, which is annexed to the summary, is being circulated in the language of submission only. GE.25-06011 (E) 240425 250425
