149. The Hungarian Government should pass a law along the lines of the Model National
Legislation for the Guidance of Governments in the Enactment of Further Legislation against
Racial Discrimination, prepared by the United Nations, in order to combat racist acts in all areas
of economic and social life.
150. The Hungarian Ministry of Education should take steps to end the segregation of Gypsy
schoolchildren by developing teaching methods that promote equal opportunities for these
children and equitable access to education for all.
151. The Hungarian Government should take action in local communities in rural areas in
order to promote a better integration of Gypsy communities and put a stop to their expulsion.
