Balochistan United Front- Human Rights Group – Iran
Thank you, Chairman, and President, and the other fellow colleagues.
I am from Balochistan United Front Human Rights Group. My name is Jamshid Amiri (?).
The systematic historic and inequality has greatly damaged and limited the Baloch people in making
any form of meaningful public participation in access to improvement, education, health, property
development, ownership, housing, social welfare, media and cultural life, all of which make the basic
human rights for all human life across the world.
When discussing this improvement opportunity of youth Baloch people, it is essential that we must
raise the issue of the recent project put forward by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Referred to as the
development of Balochistan coastal area, the project, since its establishment, had employed nonBaloch people to this specific coastal region, providing them with the land and resources which
belong to Balochistan people. It is putting young Baloch people at disadvantage, and have therefore
no career to implement opportunities in order to enable them to build up their future. Under the
pretext of the unsustainable development on the shore of Abu Jazan, which is called Makron Shore,
or coastal area, that starts from the Strait of Hormuz to the border of Pakistan. This will be the
Iranian government interest to train youth Baluch students and provide jobs instead of engineering,
migration, or non-Baluch in the Makran coastal area. Chabahar coastal area have great opportunity
for the neighboring country and the international community to develop business, but without using
Biyut (?) Baloch people, it will be anti-Baloch project.
Indeed, a population migration plan…(cut off by chair)
