Association of Supporters of champions of Mehryad Khuzestan
Thank you, Madame President.
The main challenge to inclusion and equality as well as barriers in social and economic participation
of minority in Iran are inherent to the inception to the Islamic Republic and the states approach of
governments based on the logic of one country one state one religion and one language. Since the
establishment of the Islamic Republic in 1979 the Kurds similar to Baluchis and other minorities are
stigmatized, marginalized, and excluded from any participation in public life and perceived and
threated as hostile groups by Iranian state and its media. As the Women Life Freedom revolution
showed, over half of the protesters killed or blinded are Kurdish and Baluchis. Since January this year
at least 700 prisoners were executed and again half of them are Kurdish and Baluchi citizens.
Madame President, we call of this Forum and on the Special Rapporteur on minority issues to
elaborate a report on inclusion and various social and economic participation of minorities in Islamic
republic of Iran. Thank you for your attention.
