Recognizing that the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development puts the principles of equality and non-discrimination at its centre, OHCHR supported the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and their associated targets relevant to minorities. It is essential to collect disaggregated data to be able to make a comprehensive assessment of the extent and range of the challenges faced by minorities, and yet, worldwide, data collection remains largely insufficient. 17
