Future work of the Forum
1.
The Forum considered item 5 at its 15th to 17th meetings, on 20 and 21 May
2004.

At its 15th meeting, on 20 May, the Forum heard statements by the following

At the same meeting, Wayne Lord, member of the Forum, made a statement.
Action taken by the Forum

At its 17th meeting, on 21 May, the Forum, in adopting the draft
recommendations submitted under agenda item 5, identified a number of proposals,
objectives, recommendations and areas of possible future action, and, through the
Economic and Social Council, requested States, the United Nations system and
intergovernmental organizations, indigenous peoples, the private sector and NGOs
to assist in their implementation (see chap. I.B).
