Report of the Special Rapporteur on the human rights
of migrants
Summary
The present report provides a brief summary of the visits undertaken by the
Special Rapporteur during the period from June 2006 to 1 August 2007.
The report also highlights the main focus of the Special Rapporteur’s report to
the Human Rights Council at its fourth session, namely, border control, expulsion,
and conditions for the admission and stay of migrants.
Lastly, the Special Rapporteur encourages Member States to ratify the
International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and
Members of Their Families.
