Work should be fast-tracked to develop a United Nations declaration on the promotion of and full respect for the human rights of people of African descent, in full collaboration with people of African descent. The declaration should include protection from environmental racism. 87. Governments, businesses and civil society should implement the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights to prevent, address and remedy human rights violations suffered by people of African descent at the hands of business enterprises. 18
