A/HRC/33/42/Add.1 108. The Government of Brazil should make every effort to address the concerns raised by the Special Rapporteur in the present report and live up to the emblematic global benchmark that Brazil had set for the protection of indigenous peoples in its 1988 Constitution and through its ratification and adoption of international human rights instruments. To realize this, the measures outlined in these recommendations are urgently required. 24
