Speaker: Thank you Mr. Chair. The Iranian government’s oppression against the Baluchis is
not new. On 22nd last year, in Saravan, Pakistan-Iran border crossing. 37 people were killed
and 150 were wounded. The recent protests have given Iranian government more cover to
carry out greater atrocities. Recently, the day now memorized as bloody Friday in [inaudible],
Iran used heavy machine gun, helicopter to shoot at Mosque attendees at prayer. 103
people were killed and over 300 injured and lost in 17 minutes. On 4th November 2022 in
the city of [inaudible]. 16 protesters were massacred and hundreds injured outside a
government office. The regime accuses and executes two to three people everyday in
Balochistan. These executions constitute a genocide and must be investigated by United
Nations. Dear Chair. Baluchis demand justice and ask the United Nations to hold Iran
accountable for the atrocities their state security forces committed in Iran against the
Baluchis. Recommendation, the right of the state to territorial integrity should not be absolute
and qualified when the state has no respect for human lives. Their external right of selfdetermination is a tool that can be used to reestablish international [inaudible] for human
right and democracy. Thank you very much.
