3. There are still many abducted at the hands of ISIS, after being forced to convert to Islam. Their care for
survivors, their rehabilitation and orphans is not good enough.
4. The unemployment rate is growing among the displaced, which is being exploited to make children join as
fighters in the Kurdistani parties.
5. Sexual slavery and the systematic rape of the captured by ISIS is still ongoing in addition to the
recruitment of children in training camps.
6. On the 19.3.2015, in this hall, the Human Rights Council voted on considering what happened in Sinjar
and the Nineveh Plains crimes reaching the level of crimes against humanity and genocide. Since then,
unfortunately, I say, the United Nations and all its bodies did not move to activate the decision. At the
same time we demand from the international community to pressure Iraq to join the International Criminal
Court in the Hague or to open in any method available an investigation into the dossier of the Yazidi
genocide in the court.
Mr. President,
The Yazidi minority in Iraq and Syria is in great danger. We appeal to your consciences and demand from the
United Nations to protect the Yazidi, aid and support them.
Finally, I carry to you this message combined of the cries of mothers, the sufferings of the abducted, and the
blood of the Martyrs, and signed by 400 thousand displaced Yazidis.
Thank you for your attention.
