Furthermore, according to the Durban Review Conference outcome document, “all victims of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance should receive the same necessary attention and protection and accordingly appropriate treatment” (para. 17). Against this background, in addition to reporting on his activities, the Special Rapporteur has taken a victim-oriented approach presenting an analysis of the racism and racial discrimination against Roma, and discrimination based on work and descent. * Late submission.
