(c)
Include indigenous women’s knowledge in technical panels, platforms and
forums that address, inter alia, climate change solutions, biodiversity loss, language loss
and health policy;
(d)
Promote and strengthen indigenous women’s participation in the design
of programmes, actions and policies concerning indigenous scientific knowledge and
access to genetic resources.
109.
The Special Rapporteur recommends that indigenous peoples:
(a)
Strengthen indigenous women’s access to land and resources in their
jurisdiction;
(b)
Support the political participation of indigenous women in decisionmaking related to, inter alia, the use of indigenous lands and resources and culturally
appropriate policies and programmes to respond to social problem;
(c)
Recognize, protect and promote the role of indigenous women as holders
and transmitters of knowledge and languages;
(d)
Support indigenous women’s organizations for political empowerment,
leadership and skills training to increase their ability to play a fundamental role in their
communities and secure knowledge transmission.
