Comitato per il Censimento e il Riconoscimento del Popolo Veneto on Item III Good morning and thank you Mr President! I am the president of the Committee for the International [Census] and Recognition of Venetian People. In the name of Venetian people I would like to thank you for having given us the possibility to be present in last year’s session and the opportunity to be here also this year. Humanitarian crises, the subject of this year’s Forum, connects our claim for the international recognition of our people. The history, the language, the civilisation the [positivity] of institution of such values and without the dignity of Venetian people continue to be denigrated, removed, mystified, hidden, looted. This year is the 150th anniversary of [Flandern] plebiscite on October 1856 that signed the annexation of Venetian people to the Italian reign. Due to this annexation more than half of our people had to [start] the diaspora to the rest of the world, escaping from hunger, wars, humiliation and robberies, that still today continue to suffer. The Venetian banking system based on popular bank fruitful and anthropological federalist defence has been financially attacked by stealing of 11 billion euro of private savings. [forcing] the desperation of hundreds of thousands of families and not only forbidden them also the truth and possibility. All this violence has a devastating effect and is flowing in to the humanitarian crisis. To testify this we have increasing cases of suicide of young people, fathers and businessmen. We also note our graduates escaping territory, mortgage and the future of our society causing social and economical failure. We also have to see our senior citizens beg what necessary to survive. We are very near a civil war it is hidden by mass media hypocrisy. We have already announced that this meeting trial and imprisonments are […] methods causing the legislation that interests are against venetians and other people of the Italic peninsula. With the support of mayors of different towns, we have started the first step to be recognised as a national minority following European law standards. We began a census for the recognition of venetian people and are here today to plead our cause thanking you all for whatever you will do in the future to help us to be identified as so. Freedom and dignity for Venetian people! God bless San Marco! Viva san Marco! Thank you Mr President.
