V. Promotion of constructive interfaith dialogue, consultation and exchange
Permanent Mission of Morocco.
Thank you, madam person,
The delegation would like to take the floor this time to (…) promotion of interfaith dialogue, and
intercultural exchanges, because in society, through (…) crucial. I would like to share with you a number
of initiatives that Morocco take to promote tolerance between faiths and tolerance. For decades now,
the Morocco has been and still is a (…) of tolerance and understanding. (…) for setting up a
communication channels between civilisations and cultures, between different societies despite the
diversity of their religions and beliefs, and the multitude of the origins, backgrounds, and (…) The
Morocco has often an appeal for the dissemination of culture of tolerance and the understanding through
dialogue because the Morocco has always had a multicultural society which has been always open to
other civilisations, cultures, and religions, as attested by the fact that in the 14th century, the Moroccans
who were Muslims lived side by side with the Jews, after the independence of the Morocco in 1956,
this continued and today, this is one the distinctive features of the Morocco. The Jews (…) have a
position of Morocco, between the African countries and European countries, has been (…) of the (…)
religions was made Morocco a catalyst for the dialogue between civilizations. Moroccan legal and
constitutional (…) part of Islam are respected and the full enjoyment of their cultural lives. Morocco has
taken several measures to ensure the inter-confessional respect is a reality. (…) reality such as tax
breaks and customs breaks for Muslims, Jews, and Christians, Protestants, Orthodox, Christians, to
acquire equipment for the mosques, temples or churches. The Morocco state offers on the basis land
for faithful of the three leaders (…) and discrimination. Furthermore, there is no sartorial obligation, with
regards to wearing a hijab, crosses, or veils, in public places. The education system of Morocco is
comprised of specialities of imparted in Hebrew and Jewish laws in Moroccan universities. As far as
citizenships rights are conceded and Morocco does not impose any type of restriction on Moroccans
who are Jews to have access to public officials of the state, and public officials who their different
religions can have high positions, and (…) example adviser to the king and he is Jew. Let me show a

festival was designated in 2001 by the UN as being one of the whole marks events in the area and its
