Report of the Special Rapporteur on contemporary
forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia
and related intolerance
Summary
The present report to the General Assembly is submitted pursuant to Assembly
resolution 68/150 on combating glorification of Nazism and other practices that
contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination,
xenophobia and related intolerance, in which the Assembly requested the Special
Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and
related intolerance to prepare a report on the implementation of the resolution, based
on views collected from Governments and non-governmental organizations, for
submission to it at its sixty-ninth session.
Following a brief introduction to the content of resolution 68/150, the Special
Rapporteur summarizes the contributions sent by 11 States on the implementation of
the resolution, as well as views sent by intergovernmental, non -governmental and
other organizations pertaining to the issue raised in the resolution. The Special
Rapporteur then puts forward a number of conclusions and recommendations.
