The purpose of the visit was to assess, in the spirit of cooperation and dialogue, measures adopted in the country to ensure the enjoyment of cultural rights, with a specific focus on the right of people to access cultural heritage, including one’s own history. The Special Rapporteur also considered other issues such as the relationship between cultural and tourism policies, as well as measures adopted to support artistic creativity and to ensure the right of individuals to access the arts.
