Report of the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism,
racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance*
Summary
The present report is submitted to the Human Rights Council pursuant to General
Assembly resolution 80/192, by the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism,
racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, Ashwini K.P. In preparing the
report, the Special Rapporteur invited submissions from Member States and other relevant
stakeholders on measures to combat the glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other
practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination,
xenophobia and related intolerance. The report sets out the applicable international legal
framework, summarizes the submissions received from Member States, presents an analysis
on contemporary manifestations and trends in neo-Nazism, and advances recommendations
addressed to Member States and other relevant stakeholders.
