- The Constitution of the RDC in its articles 14, 15 and 43 which address the equality between men and women, and stipulate that basic education is for free for all children without any difference based on gender. The actions of NGOs Unfortunately, all these texts, though ratified by our country, suffer from a lack of implementation. That is why the Organizations of Pygmies and those that help minorities joined forces to plead for the upholding of these legal texts in our country. It is true that the fight will be long but we must not despair. Furthermore, we raised parents’ awareness regarding the importance and the advantages of the schooling of young Pygmy girls. For this matter, we conducted a research in order to assess the adequate strategies and techniques to raise public awareness at the level of communities about the necessity to promote education for all children, but the extreme poverty which they have to face is still a problem. Conclusion The promotion of education of young girls belonging to (Pygmy) minorities raises the question of effective integration of the Pygmy peoples in the Congolese society in general. This marginalization, which girls belonging to minorities have to face, is also present in other communities, because women are still perceived as second-class human beings and this constitutes the biggest obstacle. As education is the basis of all matters of rights and development we must thus fight for a new culture of women in order to facilitate their access to all rights, including the right to education.
